Snow & Slush

I really wanted to get cracking down at the plot, as we're only a few weeks away from the first batch of planting. But once again the weather was against us - this time with horrendous snow and slush as well as the usual rain. It has snowed/rained almost constantly for the last couple of days, so the allotment is going to be like a mud bath, so it'll have to be another week till we go back.

Chitting Potatoes
In the meantime, the order I placed for shallots and potatoes arrived, so we've now got loads of potatoes chitting nicely in the front porch, including Colleen (first early), Kestrel (second early), Anya (salad), Pink Fur Apple (salad), and Arran Victory (main). Don't know if we'll use all of them, but at least we'll have a nice variety to try out. The broad beans in the kitchen window have started to sprout too.
