
Brought along some baby lettuce plants from the kitchen windowsill, which I planted as a catch crop on the Fartichoke bed and between the horseradish plants, and covered individually with cut-off squash bottles to protect from slugs and birds.
We've been playing with the idea of getting an allotment for a while, and now we've actually taken the first steps to making it happen. This is a record of how it's going, and hopefully it will show the process of turning a scrubby patch of brambles into a lovely allotment, over time. Well.. let's hope that's how it goes.
