Chilli Fiesta
It's the 2nd May bank holiday, which means the open weekend at Simpson's Seeds near Longleat, and we travelled down there again, as last year. Another excellent selection of unusual chilli plants and others, and I came away with 9 chillies, some climbing french beans (Cobra - stringless 8" pods and violet coloured flowers), a Sweet Dumpling squash, a globe artichoke plant and a lemon grass. Chillies included Nepalese Bell, Yellow Bumpy, Wenk's Yellow Hot, Friar's Hat, Aji Brazilian Bonanza, Orozco, Monkey Face, and an Eve's Apple pepper. This year's chillie's will be quite a mixture, and I'll give a full listing when I've re-potted the final selection in the greenhouse.
